TERRA COUNSELING & CONSULTING WELCOMES NEW COUNSELOR
LAURA SCOTT, MS, LGPC
Baltimore, Maryland: Laura Scott, MS, LGPC, joined the team at Terra Counseling & Consulting, Inc (Terra) as a Licensed Graduate Psychotherapist. She received her Master of Science degree in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University Maryland and is a counselor and clinical case manager at Helping Up Mission, a residential, spiritually-based recovery program in downtown Baltimore.
“Laura is a valuable addition to our team,” said Amy Price, Clinical Director for Terra. “She brings with her a repertoire of profound experience with her life-giving work at Helping Up Mission. She has worked with people struggling with addiction and hardship giving them new hope and a pathway to a new life. Laura’s work will be tremendously beneficial to her clients and enhance the mission and work of Terra in a valuable way.”
Scott will provide clinical counseling services to adults within the context of a supportive relationship geared toward substantive growth. In addition to her master’s degree, Scott received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Penn State University and has a certificate in Biblical Counseling from Christian Counseling & Education Foundation (CCEF).
“Working with people struggling with their life story,” said Scott, “has given me a magnified view of the universal struggle for purpose and relational connection that lies at the heart of the human journey. I want to help clients gain a more accurate understanding of themselves and their unique strengths, giving them the ability to live a satisfying life.
